5 signs he wants you to leave him alone

Men often don’t know how to communicate their feelings and needs, which is why it’s important for women to recognize the signs that a partner wants to break up with them.

Or, if you’re not even in a relationship, then you should be able to tell if he wants to be distant or if he simply wants you to take a hint and leave him alone.

Here are a few signs to make this task easier, for you:

Few signs that he wants you to leave him alone:

1. He doesn’t express much emotion towards you anymore:

He’s doesn’t express much emotion with you. He acts like a robot in your presence or almost like one. He doesn’t express much emotion, which can be seen as awkward, sometimes. All you know is that there’s tension in the air, whenever you two meet.

Sometimes, people want to be left alone. When this happens, it is important to create a boundary and set limits. If he’s suddenly acting out of character, distant, emotionless, or unbothered by you, chances are he’s trying to let you know that he doesn’t care enough about whatever you have to say.

In fact, with someone who has been acting cold for some time, the best guess is that they don’t want you to try and fix things or make things better. So, they don’t even give you a chance to open up, say ‘sorry’ if you ever hurt them, or fix anything. They have simply already decided that they just want you to walk away, never come back and leave them alone.

2. He has no patience for you:

He is cold and distant. He has a short temper and he can get easily upset or irritated. He will not have patience for you and he will not give you the time of day of the time, or to explain anything that went wrong. Any misunderstanding between the two of you makes him extremely angry because he has already run out of patience with you.

He doesn’t have time or the willingness to give you the benefit of the doubt. In other words, he’s tired of your behavior and is quick to judge when you make the smallest mistake. In fact, it’s almost like he’s waiting for you to make a mistake, so he can have a good excuse to ditch you once and for all.

Someone like this can be very difficult to handle sometimes, because they may not understand how their actions affect you.

3. He doesn’t want anything more from you than intimacy:

The hedonistic approach to dating is a popular one, especially among millennials. People are more interested in having sex and getting off with someone than in building a relationship. This has led to the rise of the “hookup culture” where people have casual sexual encounters without any emotional connection or commitment.

The “hookup culture” is not going away anytime soon. In fact, it seems like it’s only getting worse because of how people are using social media to find potential sex partners. There is no emotional connection or bonding when it comes to dating anymore and that’s what makes this generation different from previous ones.

The positive thing about this if any is that in the past, women would often have to put themselves out there in order to get a man’s attention. But now, with dating apps like Tinder and Bumble giving them the option to swipe left or right on potential suitors, it’s easier than ever for women to find someone who will be interested in them on a deeper level.

So if this man is acting up or only seems to want one thing from you and if that doesn’t match your expectations of him or of the relationship, then skip to the next.

4. He doesn’t take your calls, or return your texts quickly enough:

Texts are now an important part of our lives and they have become a key tool for communication.

There is no denying that this is a great advancement in technology but there is also no denying that it has created some problems too, such as being unable to reach someone if they’re not around their phone or if they don’t reply to your texts. However, sometimes it can be done on purpose and you can be left on reading repetitively for obvious reasons.

It can also be a headache if you’re not getting the response you want or not any response at all. In fact, this is the most common response we get when we try to get a hold of someone who has been ignoring our texts. Whether it’s because they are busy, they are in a relationship, or they just don’t like us, it’s hard to know.

5. He says he’s the problem:

Whatever his excuse is: be it that he’s just in a busy phase in life, or that he has something wrong with him, and whatever it is, chances are he’s trying to pull the famous silly excuse. If you’re asking which one it is, then it is no other than “it’s me, not you”.

He constantly puts himself down or talks about how he’s not good enough for you. He’s saying he’s not ready, he’s busy or he won’t give you enough attention during this period of his life. In any case, he’s trying to say that he wants you to leave him alone, peacefully, amicably, and without issues.

All in all, this should be a reminder to you that you should not expect too much from others and that it’s okay for you to be alone. Maybe, everyone may be truly busy, working on themselves, or focused on their lives and you should consider moving on and doing the same.

Bottom line:

When a person is feeling ignored and left out, they can end up feeling like they are being pushed away. This can lead to anxiety, fear, and even paranoia. In this case, it’s better not to cling to a lost cause.

The best way to avoid this is by learning how to manage your own emotions and not give in to the temptation of overreacting, or let it get to you by getting disappointed, or being too heartbroken.
